19th Century portrait of a bearded gentleman with very expressive face.
In the manner of Newlyn School works - Circle of Frank Bramley, Stanhope Forbes, Norman Garstin.
Further investigation on the painting is required, a signature has not been found however the painting has not been taken out of its original frame.
Particularly pleasing is the colour and carving of the paintings frame.
There are no major losses and the canvas in good condition for its age. Please refer to the photographs for a visual reference.
