Huge Theatre Floodlights On Tripods

 

 

A huge pair of extremely rare theatre flood light lanterns with (‘Strand Electric Patt 36’ c. 1925-1936) on bespoke handmade tripod stands with brass castor wheels. These lights would have originally illuminated large spaces such as dance halls and stadiums or circus arenas.

 

Constructed of steel with coppers tops and fittings. these lanterns are stunning and provide a great feature lighting to any room.  Warm light is dispersed from the front hood and also through the circular vents that encompass the body of the light.

 

Left in as found condition only lightly cleaned, rewired an PAT tested. Excellent patina, wear consistent with age and use.
