HADRILL & HORSTMANN TROLLEY FLOOR C.1940's LAMP REFURBISHED, POLISHED & REWIRED

A stunning example of the iconic counterbalance 'Roller lamp', ingeniously designed by Hadrill & Horstmann. c.1940. Salvaged from an optician's in London.

The 'Roller' by British company Hadrill & Horstmann was a contemporary of the famous Herbert Terry 'Anglepoise' lamp.  It is arguably better engineered and more elegant. The weighted rolling counterweight system allows the head of the lamp to be precisely angled and set in any position, without the need for springs with an easy fluid motion.

The lamp is completely original, it stands tall on a heavy castered steel base.  The maker's name is still present to the arm - Hadrill & Horstmann, Godalming, Surrey.

Newly re-wired with 5 meters of black braided cable and PAT tested.

Diameter of base: 406mm
Height: 1.7 meters fully extended
