Traditional Moorish Souk Lantern.

 

 

An intricately engraved and pierced hexagonal brass hanging lantern. From a North African, Middle Eastern colorful and vibrant open-air market or Souk. A feature of these fixtures is the ornate filigree work which creates an attractive shadow effect when switched on.

 

Dome topped with a castellated gallery, the lantern has its original opaque glazed windows and is supplied rewired and ready to hang with chain.  Wear consistent with age and use.
