An early 19th Century George IV brass gilt bronze and laquered enamel (faux scrumbled mahogany) column . The Puginesque hexagonal plinth and capital is profusely cast in high relief with scrolls, ovals medallions and trefoils.

 

A Fine quality lamp – impressed makers stamp to the heavy, cast- weighted base.Good period condition, with patina and age. Originally a large candle lamp, Newly converted to electricity (inc PAT) without compromising its original integrity.
