Beautifully made lamp with angular forms and the simplest of ornamentation ending in large pad leaf or heart shaped, trifold feet. Height adjustable via a simple screw key mechanism, key impressed with maker 'Finlay'. Sturdy and made to a high standard a heavy lamp with great tone and shadow to the japanning.
The lamp has been left in original japanned patinated copper, untouched having not been polished in any form.
