A large and exceptional Moorish or Syrian table by Liberty & Co London, having octagonal top and base raised on eight legs. Profusely inlaid with Abalone and Mother of Pearl along with fine timbers to include Ebony, Rosewood, Boxwood and Satinwood. with Islamic script to the centre of a geometric-marquetry faceted top believed ,يا كريم : O Generous. Each side panel has a geometric design, again with mother of pearl & exotic woods.
Structurally stable and strong with mellowed patina from age and use. There are no missing pieces.
